Twitter is a great way to get realtime updates about what's going on in the campaign. And, as you'll see below, you can use Twitter to bring your friends, family, and co-workers into our growing campaign community. If you're already on Twitter, you can follow our campaign's Twitter feed at @ThurbertBaker or by clicking on the link below. If you're not on Twitter, check it out. It's a great way to keep in touch with folks.
If you're already on Twitter, you probably have an active network of people who follow your feeds. Why not put your Twitter network to work for the campaign? Here are a few ideas:
1. Tweet About The Campaign. When you tweet, people listen. So if the campaign has done something that you're excited about or if you see a good news story about the work we've done together, tweet about it. Your tweet will go out to all the folks in your network. It's a great way to share your thoughts about Thurbert and to get your friends and family involved in our campaign. And toss a subject label like "#ThurbertBaker" into your tweet so it pops up when folks look for campaign-related tweets.
2. Tell Us What You Think. We want to hear from you! You can use Twitter to communicate directly with the campaign. Send us a direct message or begin your tweet with @ThurbertBaker. Your message will find its way to the campaign's internal Twitter feed. It's just like emailing us, except you're using Twitter. It's a great way to share your ideas with the campaign, to let us know what you like and don't like, and to keep us informed about what's going on where you are.
3. Share Stuff From Our Feed With Your Friends And Family. See something you like on our Twitter feed? Retweet it! You can use Twitter to forward it along to your followers. Just type "RT @ThurbertBaker" into your Twitter text input box and then paste the message from our page into the box. The same message will show up in your Twitter feed and it will go out to all of your followers. It's just like forwarding an email, but simpler.
Those are just a few ways you can use Twitter to get involved in the campaign. If you think of any others, share them with us!
